Morgan Phillips

COO & Partner

Morgan Phillips is the Chief Operating Officer of Vincimus Capital. Before joining Vincimus, Morgan led Technology and Operations for FIG Capital, an Alternative Investment vehicle focusing on real estate and tax liens. During Morgan’s time at FIG the fund expanded into 7 new states, doubling its national footprint as an industry leader in the space. Morgan oversaw the onboarding and servicing of 1M individual lien placements, each with follow along investment opportunities. His responsibilities included system architecture, automated process deployment, and workflow management.

Prior to FIG Morgan held several positions at Black Diamond Performance Reporting, a category defining software company. Morgan joined Black Diamond in its early days, at a time when the competitive landscape was outdated desktop installed applications. At Black Diamond he served as a liaison to the firm's largest clients by AUM, helping them bridge the gap into modern technology tools. His clients included Multi/Single-Family Offices, Aggregators, Asset Managers, and RIAs. Following his time in client relations, Morgan led a Product and Development team focusing on custodial data reconciliation and Black Diamond’s Alternative Asset reporting system. He also led a client experience initiative, designed to further equip RIAs to better 'tell the story' and connect with their clients.

Before his time at Black Diamond, Morgan worked at Wachovia Bank as a banking relationship manager. His clients included professional athletes and high-net worth individuals. At Wachovia he gained first-hand experience in the complex needs of high-net worth clients in ever evolving economic conditions.

Morgan received his B.S. in Business Administration from Auburn University and currently lives in Jacksonville, FL with his wife and three daughters. He’s passionate about youth ministry and serving the underserved, and has previously worked with Young Life in several different capacities.
